Much like I did with Baltimore’s Jaiden Lo Re, I chose Steele Hall to be a little bit different. Going into 2026, he had yet to log a professional plate appearance, having just been drafted 9th overall in 2025. Since then, he’s jumped from #83 in the Top 100 to #50.

So far in 2026, Steele Hall has played 51 games, and he has .293 with a .395 OBP. At the time of being drafted, Hall was described as having “fringe average power”, but he has already clubbed 10 homers in his first 198 at-bats. With plus-plus speed and an ability to drive the ball gap to gap, he has also tallied 16 doubles and a pair of triples.

He does still need to tighten up his swing, as he has racked up 59 strikeouts in Rookie ball. He does make the best of getting on base, as he does have 33 walks, and once he gets there, he excels at taking the extra 90, stealing 24 bags.

All told, I am honestly impressed that he’s still hitting .293 despite striking out 29.8% of the time. When you factor that in, his production is awesome. 58 hits, 33 walks, 56 runs. Definition of a sparkplug. Given his early returns, my preseason comp of Dansby Swanson with Trea Turner speed feels pretty good. If he can cut down on the strikeouts though, the sky’s the limit. Steele Hall has a clear weak point, but if he can patch it, he has the potential to be really, really dangerous.
