This will be one of the quicker updates on the list. Thomas White has had his 2026 season derailed by multiple injuries. He made his season debut on a rehab assignment in Jupiter while returning from an oblique strain.

He made two rehab starts in Jupiter before returning to Triple-A in Jacksonville, where he had finished 2025. He made 5 starts in Jacksonville before being sidelined again, this time with a left shoulder strain, an injury which will likely sideline him for the rest of the season. White may have posted an ERA of 4.01 in his abbreviated 2026 action, but he managed to maintain the high strikeout rate he is known for, striking out 35 batters in 24.2 innings.

Despite the injuries, White continues to show a ton of promise. He dropped from #17 to #21 in the Top 100 rankings, but continues to be Miami’s top prospect, ranking ahead of fellow pitcher and roommate Robbie Snelling (#36), despite the fact that Snelling beat him to South Beach, making his MLB debut on May 8th against the Washington Nationals before hitting the IL himself thanks to a UCL sprain that required surgery.

Things are looking bright for that young core in Miami, but if the Fish can get their top 2 prospects back and healthy in 2027, it’s almost a certainty that White and Snelling will be major contributors to that Marlins rotation going forward.
