Jesús Made is the #3 prospect in all of baseball, behind Konnor Griffin and Kevin McGonigle. The Brewers have him on a similar path to former top prospect Jackson Chourio, continuing to show an aptitude for international scouting.
A 6’1 switch hitter, Made has the speed and versatility to play multiple infield positions. The 18-year-old may still be a year or two away from Milwaukee, and his long-term future may be at shortstop, but it seems that his quickest path to the big leagues may be at third base. The Brewers have a lot of young talent they’re high on, including Joey Ortiz and Brice Turang, who are currently occupying the middle of the diamond. Not to mention that the top 3 Brewers prospects behind Made – Luis Pena, Cooper Pratt and Jett Williams – are also middle infielders by nature, creating a potential log jam in future seasons.
His quickest path may be at third, but he’s got an average arm, so he may fit better at second.
Speaking of second base, that’s where we go to find his closest comp. Many analysts are quick to see a switch-hitting middle infielder and think of Francisco Lindor but Made profiles closer to Ozzie Albies in my opinion. Standing at 6’1, Made is a few inches taller than Albies, but like the Atlanta Braves all-star, Made is lightning fast. He cracked 40 extra base hits and stole 47 bases across 3 levels of the minor leagues in 2025.
Made has plus plate discipline and has the potential for 25-30 homers per season, which separates him from Albies, but if the Brew Crew can find a way to make room for all their pipeline talent in the coming seasons, the next decade could be a great time to be a Milwaukee fan.
